Chad’s Note: My Aunt Janet first introduced me to Beverly when I was just a young kid. My Aunt and her were very good friends. Bev began promoting concerts in Minnesota in the 60’s and worked with such groups as the Blackwoods, Cathedrals, Happy Goodmans, Imperials, JD Sumner & The Stamps and others. I had heard that the Mid South Boys were going to be coming through Minnesota and asked Bev if she could book a concert with them. She said she would show me how to do it myself and so she took me under her wings and taught me how to promote concerts in the late 80’s. We worked alot of concerts together. Shortly thereafter I became one of the founding board members of the Midwest Quartet Association and invited Bev to join us on the Board Of Directors making her one of the founders as well!
Besides her Promoting Endeavors Bev became a Distributor of Southern Gospel Music in Minnesota and always wanted to get the music out to the people! For a time Bev also had a radio program on KNOF Radio (Before I was ever a part of KNOF).
I will FOREVER be grateful for her taking this young 22 yr old guy and showing me how to Spread Southern Gospel Music out to the masses..
